Eyes to see and ears to hear devotional

Matt 24:7-13 Can you see and hear what the scripture is saying to us about the last days? This is the time of the revised Roman Empire, today we would call it The Great Reset, as believers we call it the New World Order which is orchestrated by the anti-Christ. The disciples asked Jesus what the sign would be in the last days. Jesus said there would be famine, pestilence, and earthquakes. Jesus said there would be persecution, but for me, as a believer in Christ, the most significant sign is V.12 “because iniquity abounds the love of many wax cold.” The blindness is to hate other people for whatever reason, but John tells us in Jn.13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”  Don't let the day we are living in cause you to hate, let the love of Jesus push away the blindness of hate.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." -  Martin Luther King Jr.

"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend."- Martin Luther King Jr.

Father, in these days of hate, nation rising against nation (different people groups), help us love others and don’t let our hearts grow cold, in Jesus name.

Eyes To See And Ears To Hear Devotional

Why the Pharisees were blind spiritually: Isa 6:9-10: Isaiah’s prophetic warnings were not heeded, and the people had already been warned, but they ignored the revealed word of God yet again, so God’s will would no longer be received. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; And see ye indeed, but perceive not.

To avoid the trap of the Pharisees, we've got to guard the interconnection between our thoughts and our attitudes. - David Jeremiah

Blindness

Mark 2:1-12: They would not receive Jesus as God in the flesh, who was reaching people with the good news, Jesus, the savior of their sins.

Spiritual blindness comes when you try to discern this world's events without the word of God as your filter.  Pastor Spada 1 Cor 2:14

Isa 6 - Jer 5 - Matt 13 Eyes To See And Ears To Hear Devotional

One of the most significant lies told today is, you can find your own truth. What system will you choose to find the truth? Pilate, the Roman governor, represented the truth of that day, and yet he was looking for the truth John 18:37- 40 Pilate asked Jesus what truth was, and it was standing right in front of Him. Will you know the truth when you see it?

Jesus said John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus Christ the doorway to God the Father and eternal salvation.

Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.          Ralph Waldo Emerson

Give us a clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything. – Peter Marshall

With no fact as a referent, what is normative is purely a matter of preference. – Ravi Zacharias

Father help us see with our eyes and hear with our ears in Jesus's Name.

Incarnation God In The Flesh

Christmas, we are celebrating God putting on flesh because He understands the frailty of our humanity.

Heb 4:15 “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

Phil. 2 Jesus made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Father, we could not get to you, so in your mercy you came to us thank you from the crib to the cross.

God’s Gift To Us Unconditional Love

Matt 5:43-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Conditional love is based on meeting a specific condition. God's gift to us is not dependent on whether we were worthy. God so loved us; He gave His Son to us for our salvation.

Is the covenant between God and his people conditional or unconditional? Yes. Yes. Jesus came and fulfilled the conditions so God could love us unconditionally.

— Timothy Keller

Father, thank you for your unconditional love.

The King Came as a Servant

Phil 2:1-6 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus emptied Himself, and God highly exalted Him. Jesus humbled Himself. God gave Him name above all names. Jesus was obedient even to death; God made every knee bow to Him.

Jesus taught us that revelation from His Father comes to the humble.

Matt 11:25 At that time, Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Father, I trust you for revelation and truth; this is my Christmas gift.

Selfishness is when we pursue gain at the expense of others. However, God does not have a limited number of treasures to distribute. When you store up treasures for yourself in heaven, it does not reduce the treasures available to others. It is by serving God and others that we store up heavenly treasures. Everyone gains; no one loses. – Randy Alcorn

God Came To Us

God's desire to dwell with humankind is depicted in the OTEx.33:7-11This is the place where God dwelt with His people. Just like the garden of Eden, God always wanted to dwell among us so that we can have fellowship with Him.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Dwelt - The Greek verb used here literally means "to dwell in a tent," as described in Ex 33:7-11. God came to us in the person of Jesus Christ. This is called the incarnation; we call it Christmas

The Son of God became man to enable men to become the sons of God.— C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Thank you, Jesus, for coming to us. We receive you as Savior, Lord, and Master. Emanual God with us.

My Kingdom Is Not Of This World Jn 18:36

As believers in Christ, our classification in this world is that of Jesus Christ. My Kingdom is not of this world, and our prayer is thy Kingdom come, our world view is Kingdom living. Daniel's vision in Dan 2 talks about different Kingdoms, the Babylonian Empire, the Media-Persia, the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the revised Roman Empire. Dan 2 concludes by telling us about a Kingdom that will never be destroyed, the Kingdom of God, as believers that is our Kingdom.  John 18:36 Jesus is telling us his kingdom is a real kingdom on this earth, more real than even Rome could ever be. His kingdom has a different set of operating principles. It is powerful at work within the world. Jesus reveals the vision in Rev 21 and 22  when the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. Jesus' kingdom descends to take its rightful place as the capital of this world, where all his disciples find their eternal home. Next time someone asks you, are you a progressive, socialist, communist, tell them I'm a Kingdom kid, and my King is Jesus Christ.

Father, today I turn from sin and the systems of this world and turn to the King of Kings. Let your kingdom come into our heart today in Jesus' name.

The Garden Of Surrender And Healing

Luke 22:40-42:  40: When he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.

Bring your heartache and hurts, your anxiety, your fear, your trauma, to Jesus, He went through it all for us while on earth. In the garden, there is healing for our soul. Jesus experienced sorrows, and He’s acquainted with our grief. In the garden of surrender is not only pain, but there is healing and restoration because God’s plan is perfect.

Ps 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, Who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Thank you Jesus

2 Cor 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We have a bright future in Jesus name; I will not dwell on things; I can see Paul reflects on God’s promises and the hope of the resurrection in Christ. The trials, afflictions, persecutions, my brothers and sisters, they are all temporary. Thank you, Jesus, for unveiling our eyes to the truth of the Word of God; we can see through the lies, the devil is the father of all lies, and he is the author of confusion. I'm grateful to be delivered from the power of sin thank you, Jesus, I'm born again.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

“Whereas righteousness exalteth a nation, while sin is a reproach to any people. … And I do further recommend that on that occasion the whole people make confession of our national sins against His infinite goodness, and with one heart and one mind implore the divine guidance in the ways of national virtue and holiness.” Abraham Lincoln, 1865

The Spirit God Says COME

Tonight I hear the Spirit of God say to the Church, “Put aside your pettiness, fears, doubts, opinions, anxiety and come to Jesus for our time has come to surrender and see through the smokescreen of deception and bow before our King, He is the Lord of the Host.”

Matt 11:28: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” 29: “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” 30: “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Rev. 22:17: “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely.”

Our invitation has come to us, the redeemed, to look to our Jesus the Messiah.

Father, I will look beyond the smokescreen and look to Jesus, my Lord, and Savior.

Delivered through the shed blood of Jesus Christ - A prophetic Word

In our last Devotional, I spoke to you about how the Lord Jesus delivers from sin and from becoming a slave to it. In this devotional, I want to give you a prophetic word from the Lord. I want to introduce you to someone; his name is The Man of Sin, also known as The Son of Perdition

2 Thess 2:3. Statements are being made worldwide because of this epidemic, one being “we need a world reset.” These statements have shown me we are near the one-world system. This Man of Sin represents a system that denies Jesus Christ, whether secular, governmental, political, or religious. Any system that causes distrust toward Jesus Christ for our salvation, we are not to embrace that system. The person behind the scenes is The Man of Sin. In 2 Thess 2:1-12, The bible tells us in the last days we are not to be shaken in our minds or troubled in our spirit because there will be deception and strong delusion. Any system that rejects faith in Christ Jesus is sin and comes from The Man of Sin, The Son of Perdition. Not only did Jesus save us from becoming a slave to sin personally, but He also saved us from any system that denies Him. Thank you, Jesus, you set us free.

Consider this a Word from the Lord to you.
