Dorcas What’s In Your Hands
Acts 9:36-43
She served the Apostles and the body of Christ.
Tabitha was a disciple who lived in Joppa, which was the ancient seaport of Jerusalem. Her Hebrew name is Tabitha, but she is also called Dorcas in Greek.
Tabitha ministered to widows, it’s a testimony not only to her godliness and compassion, but to her importance for the community.
1. She was a Disciple - A disciple is someone who accepted God’s authority and rulership in their life.
2. She Left a Legacy to remember - her legacy was so amazing that her record of good works is put into the Bible for everyone to read.
3. She teaches us that Faith Without Works Is Dead.

“There are few things more powerful than the faithful prayers of a righteous mother.” —Boyd K. Packer
Luk 19:8-10 - I’m Saved
What does it mean when someone says I’m Saved.
To save, preserve safe from danger, loss, or destruction. To save from the penalty of death and destruction, (not merely to make happy) but to bestow everlasting life as of the result of Jesus resurrection. It refers to helping or saving from danger.
Salvation is a general term, denoting deliverance.
* Jesus came looking for Zac
* Jesus transforms Zac
* Jesus looks beyond the opinions of the crowd to get to Zac
Zac – was saved because he was willing to receive Jesus into his heart and home
Zac – was saved because he turned from his corrupt lifestyle to do the will of God.
Zac – was saved because he was willing to make restitution to those he ripped off.
Thank you, Lord, for saving us from our self.

Fear Not
The presence of fear does not mean you have no faith. Fear visits everyone. But make your fear a visitor and not a resident. ~ Max Lucado
We could allow fear to control our will and emotions, or instead, let the peace of God rule our hearts and minds.
Col 3:15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

God’s Presence and People
Luke 21:26 Jesus warns that there will be difficult days, and the hearts of many will be intimidated and that fright will overtake them. The Word of God gives us the answer to those days because we are the called-out ones, God’s assembly, and His presence overcomes the spirit of the antichrist. Let’s not forget His promise to us in Matt 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” David says it this way in Ps 27:4 where he describes how Yahweh will provide victory against his enemies and his desire was to dwell in Yahweh’s presence in the temple. “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.”
When God makes His presence felt through us, we are like the burning bush: Moses never took any heed what sort of bush it was - he only saw the brightness of the Lord. - Author: George Eliot

The Bible and the Correlation of Mind and Body, Medical science has come to understand that there is a strong relationship between a person’s mental and physical health. Medical science says our mood tends to affect our health.
The Bible revealed this to us with these statements (written around 950 B.C.
“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy is the rottenness of the bones” (Pro 14:30). “The light of the eyes rejoices the heart: and a good report makes the bones fat [healthy]” (Pro 15:30). "Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones" (Pro 16:24). “A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones” (Pro 17:22).
Jesus told us in this world we will have tribulation distress and suffering but be courageous confident, undaunted, be filled with joy; I have overcome the world.” AMPC. It's time to live the abundant life Jesus told us about, it's time to make a difference in this world.
